Confession: Growing up, I was self-conscious about

Confession: Growing up, I was self-conscious about my name. First. Middle. And last.

My first name is unique. It's a portmanteau of a blend of names from both my parents.

Ro = From 'Robert', one of my dad's high school best friends

Bi = From 'Bino', nickname of another one of my dad's best friends

Ann = Added from my mom to make the name more feminine

Robi Ann. Pronounced "raw-bee ann". Not "row-bee ann". Not Robi. Definitely not Ann. Robi Ann.

Growing up in the 1980's and 90's amongst Jennifers, Melissas, and other "normal" names, I shyed away from saying my name because I was embarrassed of correcting people.

As a calligrapher, you would think I would have my name personalized on all the things now. But, ironically, I don't. As an adult, I have come to embrace my name and have started to confidently but politely correct people. Unique names are also more common these days, some even ask how I like to be addressed, which feels so nice and refreshing.

To those with unique names, do you have your name personalized on all the things? Confidently embracing your beautiful name?

Entering the ChatGPT era about 2 years late but on

Entering the ChatGPT era about 2 years late but only 2 months behind on the trend asking ChatGPT to roast my feed 😶‍🌫️😅

I'm always looking for improvement and I constantly struggle with finding the balance between an aesthetically pleasing feed, dropping nuggets of my personality, and sharing some behind-the-scenes footage.

I know I can't please everybody (not even AI!) but it was refreshing to learn how others may view my content squares and recommendations on how to stop the scroll.
